- JavaScript
- JavaScript is a scripting language that is most widely used as an embedded language in web pages. It is used by more advanced web sites or applications to enable advanced client side features within modern web browsers. While it has some similarities to Java, the two are not the same and are not interchangeable. Originally known as LiveScript in the original Netscape Navigator, JavaScript has made some improvements in the language since its debut. Modern browsers implement JavaScript v1.5, which when closely following standards published by ECMA is also referred to as ECMAScript.
