I am using Verio as my host. But they do not have any information that I can find on their website for my outbound SMTP server settings. When I submitted a support ticket to ask about this, I was told they do not have any outbound forwarding mail servers that I can use. What can I do if my host doesn't support mail forwarding?

Any web host that expects to stay in business will provide mail forwarding for your website. It is a competitive business and there are plenty of other hosts out there that would be glad to take their business if they didn't provide such a basic and essential service as part of their standard hosting packages.
Unfortunately, Verio makes it difficult to find the relevant information for most of their customers. The outbound forwarding SMTP server for Verio's network uses an internal name that is only visible from within their existing network. You cannot PING this name or get DNS resolution on the name on the public internet at all. This name/setting only works from within their network. Set your MailHost setting to the name below for any website on a Verio server:
