Question How do I remove the user's IP address from being displayed within the XcForum application?
Answer XcForum allows you to control the appearance of the Author box and the Message box in a forum thread display. This means that you can change the layout of how information is displayed and you can also remove items from being displayed altogether.

In the XcForum administrator interface, you just need to go to the Config & Templates section and select the Content Templates item and then edit the MSGAuthorTemplate.htm to remove the "%IP%" macro. Once the "%IP%" macro is removed, the user's IP address will no longer be displayed.

Note: Because XcForum caches the content of the Author and Message templates on the server, you should make changes to them by editing them through the admin interface rather than downloading and editing the files directly.
