Question I am trying to log into the administrator screen and am getting the prompt for my registration number. When I type in my registration number, it just keeps coming back and asking for the registration number again no matter how many times I try it.

Answer There would only be two reasons that this would occur. One, you are not using the correct registration code. The registration code is unique for each application, except for the XUD user management system. The registration code will start with some prefix that matches the application being used. For example, when using xcAuction v3.x, the registration code will start off with AUC3PE followed by a dash with some more characters, followed by another dash and additional characters. Be sure you are not accidentally using any download keys or other numbers as your registration code.

If you are certain you are using the correct registration code, then the only other cause is not having the correct filesystem permissions on the folder that the MDB database file is stored in. This should not be an issue if you are using a SQL Server database. If this is occuring and you are using SQL Server, then double check all of your database connection strings, as you probably have not updated them all. For more details on file system permissions, see FAQ Article #390.
