Question How can I update MDAC/ADO? My web server has an older version and I heard the newer versions are faster and more stable.
Answer You can download an update to the Microsoft Data Access Components library directly from Microsoft at the URL below. If your site is hosted with an ISP or web host on a shared server, this step must be done by your ISP. You should contact your ISP and ask them to perform the update.

Note: If you are using a JET database, be sure to update the JET drivers also (as updates to JET are no longer included in MDAC/ADO updates).
