Question What version of IIS do I need to run XCENT web server applications?
Answer All current versions of XCENT web server applications are written to run on Windows NT 4.0 or later, IIS 4.0 or later with version 5.0 or later of the Microsoft Scripting Engine. For Windows NT 4.0 Server, IIS 4.0 can be installed from the Windows NT Option Pack 1 CD-ROM. Additional subsystems (such as the Microsoft Scripting Engine) will need to be updated from an original Windows NT installation in order to take advantage of the more recent versions and performance enhancements of the ASP platform. Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 2003 all include later versions of IIS and are fully supported and compatible with all XCENT web server applications. Updated versions of the Microsoft Scripting Engine are freely available downloads directly available from the Microsoft web site.
